Position Requirements

The job holder is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements & reporting pack for both Local and Group management teams.

More Specifically:

  • Prepares and interprets operating results on a company, function & cost center level
  • Is responsible for creation and monitoring of controls over closing & reporting process and working closely with Business Services and Risk & Control teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of results.
  • Is responsible for ensuring compliance with Group Accounting Manual, Group reporting requirements and high-quality standards of financial information
  • Acts as a Key point of contact for financial information for both internal and group reporting as well as external auditors
  • Works closely with Planning team, Business Finance Partners & Business contacts to understand and interpret deviations from Budget/Forecast targets and provides detailed analysis
  • Takes the lead on ad hoc projects/requests with ability to coordinate cross functional teams locally and remotely
  • Is Constantly aware of reporting developments (IFRS, ESG) and technological changes (self-service analytics, dashboarding tools) and continuously seeks to optimize and automate existing processes in close cooperation with local and Group IT teams

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or any relative field
  • Holder of professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or equivalent certification is considered a pre-requisite)
  • At least 10 years’ working experience in the field of financial statement reporting, consolidation, and auditing
  • Excellent knowledge of financial statement preparation, IFRS, accounting and financial theory as well as ability to quickly understand business issues, recognize key performance drivers (KPIs) and respective financial impact
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications and highly proficient in use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3, SAP/4HANA, SAP BW, Microsoft Power BI and Hyperion Planning would be considered an asset
  • Excellent command of the Greek & English language both written & spoken
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with high attention to detail and ability to explain complex accounting issues in simple terms
  • Strong results orientation, accountability, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with different levels of seniority
  • Strong project & time management skills with emphasis on organizing, planning, and completing multiple complex tasks with hands on mentality
  • Outside the box thinking, be creative, be solutions oriented, have thirst for challenging existing practices and be able to adapt to change
  • Ability to coordinate with various teams, perform complex analysis and prepare meaningful reports for management team
  • Fosters an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented working environment by maintaining cooperative relationships that lead to open communications and sharing of information
  • Constantly coaches and develops self and team
