Position Requirements

  • Conduct audit testing of store business processes, store and DC risks and controls in compliance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
  • Document and communicate store compliance to policies, regulations, procedures, and good business practices audit work and ascertains whether significant risks have been adequately and effectively mitigated
  • Regularly interact and communicate with Operation management in presenting audit results and in gaining acceptance of audit issues
  • Lead minimum one yearly ad hoc process audit with related root cause analysis under the direction of the Store Audit Team Lead and act as the auditor in charge supervising the work performed by peers (store auditors). Communicate results to the appropriate audience and collect management action plans
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc analyses and reports on audited topics
  • Effectively communicate with the Store Audit Team Lead in face-to-face meetings and through well-written reports of fact-based conclusions and recommendations to address process inefficiencies, control deficiencies, or to better manage risks and improve operational effectiveness
  • Assist the Store Audit Team Lead with the development of department guidelines, store audit programs in an advisory capacity to continuously improve the departmental methodology
  • Be a subject matter expert in one of the core audit areas, sharing knowledge and expertise with the store audit community. Communicate accordingly with related (senior) management for improvement areas in terms of risk management and implementation of controls


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the stores or operational audits. Expertise in retail grocery-oriented business processes
  • 3 to 4 years minimum in a Retail Operations function (Store Management, Retail Support or Quality)
  • Fluency in English language, both written & spoken
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Analytical skills, process minded, logical insights and ability to think critically understand root causes of the reported issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with conflict and influence change
  • Constructive influencer, advising management on improvement areas, creative problem solver
  • Effective project management skills
  • Knowledge around Data analytics or interpreting data is considered as a plus
  • Travel expectation: the position is itinerant and requires frequent travel within Greece
