DC Demand Planning Specialist



Job’s Purpose

DC Demand Planning Specialist is a member of the DC Forecasting & Replenishment team, member of Operations & Supply Chain Dep in AB.
DC Demand Planning Specialist role is to replenish AB Central DCs from the suppliers, with two main goals to ensure availability for the store orders and optimize stock levels.
We are looking for talented person with both relationship and data analysis skills, who is willing to take challenges in the fast-moving food retail business sector.

What you will focus on

• Is responsible for products availability in company’s warehouses regarding quantities and financial efficiency of inventory, targeting for optimized quantities at minimum cost
• Replenishes through SAP Forecasting & Replenishment system (F&R), or other replenishment tools available, the allocated product categories
• Contributes to the implementation, parametrization and transition to F&R system for Suppliers’ ordering
• Evaluates, reviews and releases/changes order proposals produced by F&R or other replenishment tools, considering Suppliers’ leadtime, available stock, promos, discrepancies, events, trends and logistical information in order to secure optimal inventory levels, to increase availability/sales
• Aligns with Buying Dep on assortment changes such as SKUs allocation to stores, SKUs launching, delisting, management of seasonality and ensures smooth transition.
• Communicates with DC reception to optimize receptions balance, solve reception issues or handle reserved stock.
• Communicates with suppliers to optimize supply chain related terms and ensures availability

Who we are looking for

• BSc in Mathematics/Statistics, Logistics, Finance, Business Administration or any relevant field. MSc would be considered an asset
• Working experience in retail store operations, supply chain, logistics and/or demand planning
• Excellent command of MS Office applications
• Experience in working with SAP or other ERP would be considered an asset
• Fluency in English language
