The Role

The role of the IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. In addition to overseeing a portfolio of projects, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that project management practices are standardized throughout the organization and continuously reviewed and improved upon. The Project Manager must possess a deep understanding of strategic goals and implement technology solutions that make a direct impact on the company mission. She/he must have a combination of technical, organizational and communication skills.



  • Responsible for all project management lifecycle activities including
  • Initiating projects: Work with members of the business unit to clarify the current challenge, identify options to address it technically using existing systems or 3rd party vendors, establish high-level scope and budget, quantify the business benefits, and propose recommended solution(s) via documentation and presentations to senior management
  • Planning projects: Perform extended requirements gathering, finalize the scope, develop RFP(s), develop a schedule to minimize conflict between business activities and concurrent projects, finalize initial project budget and timeline, document all above planning steps
  • Executing and Monitoring projects: Act as the primary point of contact on the project, moderate project status meetings, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks, ensure projects are performing to scope, budget, and timeline, communicate changes, provide appropriate status reports to senior management and stakeholders, develop test plans and coordinate their execution
  • Provide support for implemented systems. As more serious organizational or technical issues arise, define the parameters of the problem and communicate to internal experts or third party vendors for resolution
  • Investigate business operations and processes ahead of future IT projects/initiatives
  • Aligning Information Technology projects with specific business efforts.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise new project team leads, team members, and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Identify improvements to existing processes and work collaboratively to affect positive change
  • Highlight areas for improvement and assist business teams in developing solutions to new business functions.


Essential Skills


  • Experience in the implementation of IT systems (CRM would be a big plus) within Retail, Banking or Energy Industry
  • Experience of managing CRM and Enterprise applications projects ideally with experience of Dynamics 365 across the full project lifecycle would be a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels with internal and external partners with the proven experience of developing strong relationships.
  • Experience of working within a complex organization using methodologies and techniques such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience working in a customer-centric organization, driving technology initiatives and transformation to support customers.
  • Ability to turn round difficult relationships and build trusted relationships
  • Working effectively with third-party suppliers, building good relationships but also to control them to deliver and take ownership of their issues
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
