Among the various industries we recruit for, we are exclusively retained to find an IT Manager for a major Greek well-established company that operates in the services sector.
The IT Manager will leverage the existing technology platforms to support current and future business needs and objectives. He/She will ensure that the functionality of the IT environment aligns with company values, vision, and strategic decisions. This position will maintain existing company-wide systems and infrastructure while providing direction in technology-related issues and decisions. The IT Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning, development, implementation, deployment, and management of technology infrastructure initiatives. He/She will run the IT environment in a cost-effective and efficient manner, succeeding deadlines, SLAs & KPIs.
Oversee functions of the IT infrastructure, applications, data center operations, endpoints, servers, storage, backup and recovery systems, security, communication, managed services functions
Work closely with the Leadership Team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions, including sourcing recommendations, for all aspects of the organization
Communicate plans and progress with senior management on a regular basis
Provide oversight of System Administration and monitoring systems
Develop and document IT departmental processes and policies (ISO 27001)
Manage, oversee, and execute emergency event remediation (security, downtime, etc.)
Provide necessary feedback to internal staff regarding system capabilities to ensure specifications and requirements can be met.
Oversee and document all system specifications, designs, and descriptions to ensure shared understanding with internal stakeholders.
Establish project estimates and timelines; take ownership of completing projects on time and on budget.
Work effectively and collaboratively with peers and other internal resources to diagnose and resolve issues
Attract, develop, and retain top talent to continually improve IT capabilities necessary to increase the performance of the organization.
5-8 years experience as an IT professional
2+ years’ supervisory experience in an IT Department
Experience working in a high-pressure computer operations environment
Ability to learn quickly and implement new technologies in a rapid, demanding, and changing an environment
Excellent organizational and Project management skills
Contribute to establishing a team culture that is characterized by exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Knowledge of systems architecture/standards, network operations, security, and large software rollout
