The Role

The IT officer coordinates the administration of information technology (IT) services for one or more designated areas of the company. The position reports to the IT Manager for the designated area(s) and is responsible for fulfilling area-specific requirements and priorities while working with the IT resources to ensure effective and efficient solutions. Provides human resources management, budget input, and serves as a tactical member of the IT team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day technical support operations, which encompasses all troubleshooting, internal customer service issues, approvals, installations, and maintenance activities
  • Schedule work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees
  • Ensures all employee issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner
  • Performs the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure.
  • Manages all helpdesk and systems administrator staff and activities. Responds to escalated help desk issues.
  • Interacts with all staff on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations and suggest appropriate additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting IT infrastructure.
  • Practices IT asset management, including maintenance of IT component inventory and related documentation and technical specification information.

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Engineering or similar background
  • Αt least 3 years of working experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Excellent knowledge in ERP systems and SQL Databases
  • Previous working experience in HelpDesk will be a plus
  • Excellent knowledge in English
  • Apple ecosystem knowledge is preferred
