Senior Business Controller



ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΘΕΣΗΣ ΕΡΓΑΣΙΑΣ

Executive Level, on behalf of one of our partners, a Greek commercial company which operates in importing, distributing and exclusively representing various foreign brands, in several market sectors, is searching to recruit a Senior Business Controller, who will be reporting directly to the General Manager of the company.

 

 Senior Business Controller

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Budgeting & Reporting:
  • Reporting and analysis of financial data (P&L mainly) vs Budget and Prior Years.
  • Budget preparation and follow up in collaboration with the Directors of each company department.
  • Creation and further improvement of internal Reporting on a standard and ad hoc basis, per Direction.
  • Efficient and effective use of current ERP for the reporting and improvement proposals.
  • Preparation and control of the Monthly Rolling Forward Forecast.
  1. Business Controlling:
  • Deep analysis of financials per Direction, as well as per Sales Channel and product line, through the creation and maintenance of relevant reports.
  • Proposals of different solutions and possibilities towards the Management Team members, with the purpose of further improving the department/company results (e.g. operating cost efficiency/reduction proposals).
  • Follow up of Market trends and forecasts that could possibly affect the financial sustainability of the company.
  1. Other Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow: Preparation, management and close follow up of Cash Flow Report.
  • Credit Control: ensure that the Credit Policy of the company is always updated to adhere to the business needs and properly executed both by suppliers and clients.
  • Banks: communication, control and overview of the bank agreements and relations. Negotiation of collaboration terms will be considered an asset.
  1. Leadership Skills:
  • Lead, motivate and further develop direct reports.
  • Educate peer members of the Management Team on the analysis of their financials.
  • Inspire team spirit and apply great collaboration behaviors, exhibiting as higher purpose the overall company growth.

 

The right candidate attributes:

  • Finance, Accounting or Business degree. A Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
  • Relevant experience 5-10
  • ERP & BI Tools, SAP and Soft1 knowledge will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Taking initiative and proposing solutions. Agility in implementing proposals / ideas.
  • A business centric mindset.
  • Fluent in English and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Accounting ERPs, etc)
