EHS Manager (EHSM_03.2024)
Main responsibilities:
Lead the BU EH&S System of the company
Supports the Group EHS Director in the ESH Policy and Guidelines compliance .
Plan & ensure internal ESH inspection / audit are conducted on regular basis & compliance is effectively monitored.
Verify that all security activities for the site are followed, including permanent and contract security personnel.
Ensure Investigation & corrective action of accident / incident CAPA is followed and closed for the site.
Helping HR & GQ and Project engineering departments in liaison work with Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH).
Develop, approve and manage all safety, environmental, and security SOPs and policies.
Ensure and assist sites in conducting the Process Hazard Analysis for the facility.
Coordinate/complete all on-sites testing, permit applications and renewals for environmental purposes (water, air, etc.).
Promoting and maintaining ISO 14001 standards Environment Management System (EMS) and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 standards HS System
Ensure effective reporting of required data on ESH as per Group Global requirements / Statutory requirements.
Develop and maintain annual site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for EHS activities. Support all sites to assure KPI harmonization as needed.
Ensuring compliance of emission of air, treatment of effluent and disposal of hazardous wastes as per regulatory requirements for every site .
Ensure that control management in every site for hazardous waste generation and shipments in accordance with relevant regulations.
Act as the pollution prevention, hazard communications and emergency response coordinator for the HS site officers.
Update safety, environmental, security plans and procedures as necessary.
Provide support with investigations on environmental incidents including near misses, injuries, releases, and non-compliance. Ensure that root causes are identified, and effective corrective actions are implemented in a timely fashion.
Coordinating international audit/ inspection and follow up on compliance of the recommendations.
Organizing EHS related training programs & ensures its effectiveness.
Ensuring & promote awareness amongst employee to prevent unsafe conditions or behaviors and promptly reporting other potentially hazardous situations.
Carrying out any other assignments or projects as per the instruction of the EHS Group director to meet with the organizational objectives and priorities.
Candidate Profile:
BS Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years related environmental and safety experience desirable in Pharma industry
Experience in running Hazop Analysis.
Experience with air pollution control technologies and permitting
Working knowledge of personal computers and legible handwriting.
Experience with ISO14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS18001
Excellent organizational and management skills.
Ability to handle high stressed, emergency, fast paced environment.
High problem solving skills.
Energetic and self-motivated player.
