Hotel Manager
Ella Resorts is a new collection of eco-chic hospitality properties offering exceptional quality and service excellence. In 2023, Ella Resorts will be operating a portfolio of 6 lifestyle & family resorts on the islands of Rhodes & Corfu.
Position Summary:
The Hotel Manager has overall responsibility for the smooth and effectiveoperation of the hotel and for meeting its operating and financial objectives. The HM is responsible for operating profitability levels and to ensure exceptional guest service and product quality. The HM shall strive to maintain positive community image. The HM shall provide overall direction and guidance to their team while managing the day-to-day operations in the hotel.
Scope:
Coordinates the Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering and Human Resources departments to maximize operating and financial performance while upholding quality standards, maximizing levels of guest satisfaction, and maintaining favorable employee morale.
Review sales strategy, pricing, competition analysis and KPIs analysis
Cooperates and implement sales plans with Sales & Marketing Department
Directs the development and execution of the annual strategic plan, the annual budget and operations plan.
Maximizes financial success of the hotel by pursuing revenue goals, managing expenses, controlling labor costs, and assuming overall responsibility for revenue management.
Conducts regular staff meeting, department meetings, and all employee meetings to keep staff informed on hotel business, address concerns or problems, and develop plans to create a better, more productive work environment for all.
Ensures that a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Dealing with customers’ complaints and ensure that customer service needs are met through training, survey analysis, feedback and positive reinforcement programs.
Recruits and provide training, mentoring and guidance to staff and appraises the performance of all positions.
Assists in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
Has the overall oversight on hotel licensing, health, safety, and other statutory regulations to ensure full compliance while also ensuring hotel compliance with company policies and procedures.
Supports the company pillars by following and executing: Revenue Improvement, Cost Management/Profitability, Exceeding Guests Expectations, Associate Engagement, and Outstanding Physical Product.
Prerequisites:
Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality, Business Management or related field. Master’s Degree or MBA preferable
A minimum of 10 years experience in management positions in the hospitality industry with at least three years of experience as General Manager, demonstrating organizational leadership experience. International Operations experience, is preferable
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, have a strong financial background, sound administrative skills, well developed management skills, and have demonstrated ability to effectively lead.
Good knowledge of all hotel departments with proven track record
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills especially for non-standardized situations.
Extensive experience in people management, exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record in team building and leadership.
Excellent knowledge of English. Additional languages are a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
