Procurement Director

 

Ella Resorts is a new collection of eco-chic hospitality properties offering exceptional quality and service excellence. In 2023, Ella Resorts will be operating a portfolio of 6 lifestyle & family resorts on the islands of Rhodes & Corfu. 

Position Summary:

We are recruiting Procurement Director. A Procurement Director acquires various supplies for the hotels in the group. His/her main duties include locating key suppliers, negotiating purchasing agreements for the group, and making sure their materials and products meet the Hotels’ specifications. He/she builds vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products. Also, coordinates and assigns tasks to the procurement team, as well as participates in the supply of products and services that are essential for the company’s operations.

Scope:

  • Develop sourcing and procurement activities that support key business objectives
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy to facilitate improvements for Procurement Services
  • Ensuring the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the acquisition and reporting of third-party spend across the company
  • Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met
  • Update procurement strategies based on changing market conditions
  • Maintain knowledge of the market, in addition to current prices and fair rates for goods
  • Plan policies and procedures for efficiently, honestly, economically, and productively purchasing goods for supply chain production and operation
  • Monitor, review and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts
  • Oversee sources for purchasing supplies - Maintain company budget and streamlining costs.
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance and lead contract modifications when necessary.


    Prerequisites:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply management, or related field
  • Master’s Degree will be considered as an asset
  • Proven experience of minimum 5 years in procurement management, in Hospitality
  • Team-leading experience is a must
  • Experience in RFP
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities appropriately
  • Strong multitasking and negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams and external partners.
  • Excellent command of the English language and purchasing - resource planning systems
