Among the various industries we recruit for, we are exclusively retained to find a Βusiness Development Manager on behalf of a client, a company that produces a wide range of cooking and baking products.

About the Role

As the Business Development Manager you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of business. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and expanding market presence within the HO.RE.CA channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on expanding our presence within the HO.RE.CA channel
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with key accounts, including hotels, caterers, restaurants and other hospitality establishments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to drive initiatives that support business growth and customer needs
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management
  • Mentor and support sales teams to enhance their understanding of the HO.RE.CA channel and optimize their performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role developing new customers/channels in the FMCG industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for sales tracking and reporting
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business plans to achieve targets and objectives
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities
