About the Role

The Plant Manager will oversee the daily operations of our food production facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability. This role involves managing staff, optimizing production processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet the company’s goals and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to policies
  • Ensure the plant is operating efficiently and within budget
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with QA/QC teams to address and resolve quality issues
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff to build a high-performing team
  • Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and manage the plant budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management within the food production industry
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
