Our Plant Facilities Department is growing, and we are looking for a Utilities Maintenance Supervisor. You will oversee total site, in a multi-technology environment, driving optimum performance in utilities and maintenance to deliver value improvements and sustainability reductions.   

 

Utilities Maintenance Supervisor

The role reports to Engineering Manager

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages, directs and mentors the utilities maintenance staff on the service, repair and preventative maintenance of the plant utility systems to prevent interruptions of daily plant operations, while managing the subcontractors
  • Performs safety checks on cooling systems, water towers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, and electrical equipment. Ensures regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting procedures on the utility systems
  • Plans the annual maintenance program and record maintenance activities
  • Is responsible for the daily/weekly/monthly and yearly utility checks
  • Is responsible to produce and implement preventive solutions by analyzing the causes of failure and risk in depth to keep the breakdown rate at the target,
  • Manages the department’s budget, while leading new Capex projects
  • Participates in Lean agenda, Standard work projects, Productivity projects and improvement projects in the Plant and taking an active role in related issues.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or any other equivalent
  • Master’s degree will be considered an asset
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced technical skills in utilities operations and autocad knowledge
  • Very good command of English language, both written and spoken
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory and scheduling software will be considered an asset
